Absolutely not in that way.
You have to follow this article: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS56539
If your file are in .unreferenced folder it depends on choice you made at point 5 of above article.
Already try from Object menu select "Remove Unreferenced Files", never select "move file instead deleting" , seems like is still keep file at vault .Unreferenced folder. will backup before remove from filevault
ALWAYS select Move instead of Delete!!
Yes, it keeps the files in your vault, but it allows you to do a backup of the vault before committing to the delete.
I will do a move unreferenced files about 4 times a year. Let them sit on the .unreferenced folder for a while, then go in and delete the files from the folder. This allows IT to do their server backups and capture the unreferenced moved files before deleting them. I have never had to go back to IT and ask for a file to be restored! <Knock on wood>
Once a file has been moved to the .unreferenced folder it is no longer being used (or referenced) by Windchill and is safe to delete. It may be a good idea to take a backup of these files before deleting them (in case you ever need to get one back.) See this article for more info: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS24438
yea, thanks info, will backup .unreferenced contents , before do necessary delete process.
