Hi all,
we are upgrading Windchill 11.0 to target Windchill 12.1.2.3 version.
In our source, Cognos was present, but PTC discontinued the Cognos from Windchill 12 onwards.
In this case, Installed Windchill modules our Source and Target will be different, but as per PTC, source and Target must have same modules installed.
Is anyone doing such upgrade? if yes, please share the procedure, as not found anything on PTC articles.
Thanks,
Vivek
Hi @VU_10827294
Is the cognos listed in the Windchill version?
No. So upgrade path check should not failed.
The cognos is just configured to integrate with windchill, so there is no module in the Windchill instalation.
So you can upgrade system where the target is not integrated with cognos.
version from system where the cognos is installed.

Some modules like the Help Center and Creo View are optional and will not stop the upgrade process. Windchill will warn they are missing when comparing the systems, but it will still complete the upgrade successfully. Have you received a message from the upgrade manager stating it cannot continue without Cognos?
Hi @VU_10827294
It can be upgraded, the Cognos module is not necessary.
