how to checkout all instance from generic prt or asm?

Could you please explain.

 

How we can check out all instance parts/Assy from generic part/assy at a time.

Open the generic file and then Tools-Relations. Then select Edit and it will ask if you want to check out all instances.

    Are you doing the checkout from the Creo graphics window or the workspace?

     

    Doing it from the workspace you have the options of collecting objects. Method varies depending if you are using the basic or advanced collector. One collector has a button for collecting related instances, the other has a pull down for collecting related instances.

     

    Note, you can also set your collector preferences to default to collecting all instances if you want.

      Hi Dharlan,

       

      Mostly, I will be working on large assy, so in general, I will check out the parts while I am updating the models. As the previous solution says that I can update using family table option it worked for me.
