We publish both CAD and Word viewables, and require all data managed in Windchill to be utilized for business purposes to be watermarked - as evidence of state and traceabiilty to a specific system Version. This has been our standard practice going back to 2001 with Intralink and Division ProductView and works extremely well. We pay a bit extra to have publishing and viewing for Word doc's (Document Collaboration Option).
Problem: We're now seeingthat with newer workstation configurations(Win 7, IE9)the watermark display is erratic and requires refreshing within CreoView. This is inconsistent and seems to be highly dependent on local workstation cache condition, what additional browser windows / tabs are open, whether Adobe Illustrator is open, etc.
This isa nuisance rather than a show-stopper; the watermark always appears correctly after enough refresh cycles - but is a terrific user irritation. They continually request re-installation.
Question: Has anyone seen / experienced this? Suggestions? I'm posting to the Windchill solutions thread rather than the Visualization thread assuming tha there may be some configuration that we can make on the server that will manage how the watermark is delivered.
note: We publish Drawings to .plt (rather than .pdf) butpublish Word Doc's to .pdf. Watermarks are dynamic with state so are delivered in parallel with the image.
