Question

update old partner part by new partner name

Hello,

i have issue to update the customer name of 1800 customer parts inside widchill leoparts leoni system.

in fact during the running of laoder i received the errors message:

Message|Partner Part Number|old partner ID|new partner ID|is customer
More than one  Customer part found with number[00205143-09-0000]and linked to Customer: SI|00205143-09-0000|999998|TBD--PLASTICOMNIUMLIGHTING|true

the loader is link specific Partner Parts of a given Partner to new one.

so no accept partner part with many version.

please your urgent support

Can you provide more details? Are you referring to SUMA? I am not sure what you mean by partner parts. Screen shots?

partner part i means customer part number in fact i want to update the customer name with saving the same customer part number (same value)

example : actual state

                               the reference "00205143-09-0000" is refer to customer "SI" ( customer code "999998") 

                   our target:

the same reference  "00205143-09-0000" should be linked to new customer name "Plastic Omnium Lighting"  (with new customer code "TBD-- PLASTICOMNIUMLIGHTING")

There's an easier way to do this. You can go to Participants administrator and search for the partner's org. From there, you can edit the partner's name and details. This will immediately apply to all parts from that partner!

    Hi,

    I'm sorry I am unable to meet with you. But here are some more specifics to help:

     

    • We are using the SUMA module (I think you are too). As an example, we have the Supplier McMaster-Carr in Windchill.
    • Here in the Participants Administrator, I searched for McMaster-Carr and I found the Site that got created when the Supplier was created

    • Click on the Site to open it's info. From there, you can click Actions -> Edit Organization

    • The Site's name is editable here. Changing this updates the Supplier name as well. 
    • All the parts associated with that Supplier will show the updated name
