verification email from the ProjectLink server

We have a user that periodically (monthly) receives the following email:

This is a verification email sent from the Windchill ProjectLink server. By receiving this email and responding you will be granted access to project XYZ. Click the OK button below to gain access to the project.

This user is a Project Manager and a Member of project XYZ already. I can't find what is sending him this message.

Any suggestions as to where I should look?

Has the user tried hitting the OK button in the email? According to the userResource.java file in <Windchill>/src/com/ptc/netmarkets/users, this message means that the email address that was used to invite this user to the project is different from the email address on the user's Windchill account. The email is sent out to verify that both email addresses belong to the same user. Hitting OK should prevent the email from being sent to that user in the future.
