windchill 13.00 sql server error while installation

Version: Windchill 13.0

 

Use Case: I am facing an issue during the installation of Windchill 13.0, where the installation process aborts at the stage of SQL Server configuration. The error message points to logs related to SQL Server installation.


Description:

 

  • I followed the standard installation process for Windchill 13.0.
  • Set up the Web Application Context Root, organization details, and DNS name correctly.
  • Configured the Windchill Index Search with the appropriate host name and port.
  • While installing, the error occurred at 6% progress.
  • The error log points to issues with the SQL Server configuration.

Logs:

  • SCU_PtcInstall.log: C:\ptc\windchill_1303\SQLServer\installer\logs\SCU_PtcInstall.log
  • SCU_InstallLog.xml: C:\ptc\windchill_1303\SQLServer\installer\logs\SCU_InstallLog.xml

Request for Help: Can anyone guide me on how to resolve this issue with SQL Server during Windchill installation? What should I check in the logs or configuration to prevent this error?

I think the logs have details of what went wrong installing database. did you open up a TS support case on this? That is the right first course of action.
