Feature request from a customer - Verifying correct component or type plate using QR/barcode scan

Our customer wants to check whether the correct components or the correct type plate is attached to a product. The components or the type plate have a number encoded in a QR code or barcode. The code should therefore be scanned in one step of the procedure and the scan result checked against an expected value. Only then can the step be successfully completed.
