Question
What's New in Vuforia Expert Capture 3.25.0
General
- Changes to Content Delivery Network (CDN)
- Procedure content (images, videos, 3D models, and published procedures) is no longer served from *.azureedge.net. It is now served from the following URLs:
- *.vuforia.com
- atomiclioncms-cbadesg9e0fmaucz.a03.azurefd.net
- atomiclioncmseu-a0htf5hbfkaxfff4.a03.azurefd.net
- This change affects all Content Delivery Network (CDN) endpoints used by the clients, including API integration. Be sure to enable the *.vuforia.com wildcard in your network firewall configuration along with the two azurefd.net domains as listed above. It is also recommended that existing rules for azureedge.net be kept in place for at least one additional release.

Vuforia Editor
- New Require E-Signature Setting
- A new Require E-Signature setting is available from the EDIT tab of a procedure which allows authors to require an e-signature before submitting procedure execution data in Vuforia Vantage. This setting is available only to organizations with the appropriate feature entitlement. For more information, see the following topics:
- Optimized Query for Asset and Procedure Loading
The query used to fetch assets and procedures has been optimized to reduce response times. These improvements result in faster loading when listing assets, especially those stored in folders.
Vuforia Vantage
- Web
- When procedure preview is disabled in product settings, previewing a procedure in Vantage is blocked even if individual procedure settings allow it.
- Procedures published with the Require E-Signature setting enabled now require an e-signature before submitting procedure execution data in Vantage. Users will be prompted to re-authenticate before submission, and sessions without an e-signature will appear as Incomplete in Vuforia Insights. For more information, see Electronic Signatures (E-Signatures).
- Previously, when network connectivity was lost during a procedure, pending events were stored in the browser and uploaded during the next session. This storage persisted even after closing the tab or browser (unless browser data was cleared). Users had no indication of incomplete uploads, no notice when uploads resumed, and no way to manually retry; this behavior has been removed. Session data is now retained only while the browser tab remains open. To improve visibility and control, three new indicators have been added:
- When trying to close a browser tab with events pending—If pending events exist, users are warned that closing the tab will result in data loss.
- When submitting a session with events pending—If events are still pending, a similar dialog prompts the user to retry before submission.
- iOS

Users will be prompted to re-authenticate before submission, and sessions without an e-signature will appear as Incomplete in Vuforia Insights. Vuforia Insights
- E-Signature Status Now Displayed
- E-signature status is now tracked for procedures that require it. Sessions are labeled as Incomplete until it is signed. Once signed, the session displays a Completed status along with the name of the signer and a timestamp appearing in a tooltip. If an e-signature is invalid, the session is flagged.
- Optimized Query for Fetching Report Data
- The query used to fetch report data has been optimized to reduce response times. Users can expect faster loading times when working in Vuforia Insights.
Settings
- New Procedure Preview Setting
- A new Ability to Preview Procedures in Vantage setting is available which allows administrators to control Preview Mode behavior in Vuforia Vantage. When disabled, procedures cannot be previewed in Vantage, overriding individual procedure settings. When enabled, procedures can be previewed in Vantage so long as previewing is also enabled at the individual procedure level (existing feature and default behavior). For more information, see Ability to Preview Procedures in Vantage.
Bug fixes
