PDMLink Question

We are currenlty working on getting setup in PDMLink (9.1) with arbortext editor (5.4) content and have come accross a question.

The question is releated to state changes.

Currenlty it dosen't appear that a state change will generate a new rendition. Is there a way to make a state change trigger a new rendition. We are comming from Documentum and we used to use a state change to remove watermarks.
