Question

How to get the surface names to automatically create dimensionings with Mapkeys

I have different assemblys, which I generate automatically with Mapkeys.

Now I want to create dimensionings automatically. Therefore I need to know the surface names of each part, to create a dimensions, e.g. a distance between two surfaces.

Does each part has static surface names or are they named differently, when you open the assembly and the drawing?

If there are static names, how can I get these names?

Thanks,

Felix

You can name surfaces (or anything else) by clicking (in Creo)

File-> Prepare -> Model Properties -> Names
