Question

PART PATH ID and Rolling dash numbers

In reguards to https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS210906.   

I have been playing with this and discovered these attributes about two years ago and have found it very valuable. 

 

One thing that happened though is I rolled a dash number of an install , It was pretty much additions but it rolled about half of the Part ID's within the -002 part and now i need to redo all my tracking markers / context ID's 

 

Why wouldn't it have kept everything that didn't change with the same numbers and add the new ones.
