@olivierlp    Please don't allow the 'Notify Moderator' button to shift over while replying.  Maybe keep the 'Reply' button visible but shown 'pressed' or grayed out.  Twice now I've hit reply and then cancelled because I thought I had inadvertently hit the 'Notify Moderator' button.   (view in My Videos)   Also, something is wrong with @ references.  As soon as I add the second letter of your name, all names disappear.  See this second video.  (view in My Videos)

I notice that if a solution has been accepted for any of the responses to a question I have participated in, the notifications at the front page of the community (home page, maybe?) always says   <USER> accepted your solution to <PROBLEM>   Even when one of my responses is not the one the original poster designated as the answer. Perhaps a bit of a coding miss on the home page generator?

Starting today, when I browse over to this site, I get a message banner as shown in the attached image.   I'm using Firefox as my browser, V95.0, Windows 10. Is this something to be concerned about?

In the last weeks/months a couple of nice and useful changes were made to the forum but not all are an improvement. Just think of the too small edit window. I noticed that its larger now when I start to place an answer but still quite small and when I later edit my post its of low height again ( at least most of the times).   But another annoyance is when I try to reply to a post but am not logged in (which is the standard situation for me as I usually only log in when am about to answer a question). Before the changes which were done in the last weeks, when pressing the "reply" button I was sent to the PTC support login page and after having logged in I automatically found myself right in the reply edit window and could immediately start typing.   At the time now, two things may happen: Either 1) I get an error message and have to reload the page and login in after that ... or 2) I am sent to the login page as before, but after having logging in I find myself at the top of t

There seems to be a CSS issue with the private messages.  Notice how stuff is overlapping.

There seems to be a problem with the time stamps in the threads overview. I dont't think that Luc has answered even before the question was posted 😉 Going into the thread the correct date stamp of the initial post is seen:   A similar discrepancy here: and in the thread the correct date and time is displayed   I don't think that it matters but just for completeness sake: My time zone is GMT+1 and the date is shown in Year-Month-Day order. Side question: The time unfortunately is still displayed in 12 hour format with AM & PM rather than in 24 hour format. I can find no option in my profile settings to change the time display. Is this a bug or is it as expected?          

I notice that a lot of the "questions" we're seeing of late have the exact same format (regardless of language) which is: [user typed in subject] I am using Creo Parametric X.X Mxxx <- Looks like something Creo puts in, not a typical new user thing to know [user typed in message] Here are the errors that I faced [Creo error message] The question: Is there some sort of automated interface that is sending user inquiries in this form to these forums? I ask because it seems most if not all have such sparse detail that they are never able to be answered without a lot of back and forth with someone willing to have a go at it. Stuff like "model not found" and such. Anyone have an idea? Maybe it's something schools are doing?

The two changes announced last week are now live. These are minor changes, so we don't anticipate any issues, but let us know if you notice anything.

We only have a couple of small changes coming next week. We have some larger projects in the works, but they are not quite ready so stay tuned.   First up we have narrowed the insert media panel because, as @TomU pointed out, it is too wide for some screens, and the cancel and ok buttons were cut off.   Before   After we narrowed it to match the size of the insert video panel.

Long time coming: we removed the green bar on top of each topic. I allows the elements of the column on the right to move up. We also shaved a few pixels off the topic title.  With it, we also removed the word "Solved" to have just the check mark.  Before:         Change:   After:      

A small change to try to have as often as possible each topic listed on 2 lines only. We shaved off a few pixels as indicated below.      Before   Changes   After (on our stage server)    

As a general orientation on the Community, we re putting a greater emphasis on Solutions. We are changing the block Top Kudoed Authors to Top Solution Authors.      The layout will be the same but will show a different metric.      

On the topic list, the list of new solutions includes the authors name. this compresses the topic title and makes the solution block pretty high.      We removed the other and the date, to leave the essential. It takes less vertical space.   

A change already live as of couple of days ago. Our vendor Khoros had to do it independently from our own schedule.   From now on, when you insert a link in a post, the default target will be to open in a new page (tab).  It will not affect the existing links on posts in the past. It will apply only to the new posts / links composed after the change.    

Requested for some time: we will remove some white space in several areas of a thread page. Below 3 sets of before, how much we removed, and after. This hopefully will limit the scrolling!    (1) Text area Before     After   (2) Solutions Before     After   (3) Attachment area Before      After

We just published the changes announced here late last week. We didn't find any problem so far. If you do find problem with one of the items, please let us know by replying to the specific thread mentioned above.   I hope these changes will facilitate the consumption and interaction at the thread level. 

@TomU , since you suggested this, let me pick on you 😁  When TomU edits his own reply shortly after posting, he will see this below. The language is confusing since it is not the reply TO TomU, but to someone else.    The easiest way to implement this change in the platform was to have instead: "Edit reply by TomU"       

"In response to [user]" will become "to:[user]"   to become     

No  need for this reply box at the bottom of each thread.       It will be more like this.     

This is an announcement for Tuesday July 27th: we will update several parts of the platform. As mentioned in this forum earlier, we re getting organized to regularly release some platform changes, hopefully every two weeks. Some items in the backlog, we can do ourselves.
