Saving files in MCAD

I am using Creo View MCAD Ver 9.1

I am opening Creo.asm files and I want to explode some parts (which works) and then I want to select several of the parts and Save them but when I go to the File drop down the 'Save As' is not available.

Is there a setting or something that can be done?  I'm a new user and just installed it yesterday.  The support company that I purchased it from showed me that it works fine with .PVS files but that isn't what I'm working with.  I also have .PRT files that I would like to save together but I have the same issue.

Hi Marc:

If Native Creo files are open in Creo View directly then Saving to PVS/PVZ is not allowed through Creo View. It is allowed when a PVZ is opened or any other 3D format is opened in Creo View. Refer article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs125394 for more details.

Since I would recommend to export PVZ from Creo Parametric and then open same in Creo View. Exported PVZ has rich content in output (same as published with Windchill & Creo Worker) than direct import (which only holds basic tessellated triangle information). Refer article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs66813 for more in regards with Natively viewing of file in Creo View.

Thank You,
