Hi, as a test I gave @dgschaefer, @VladmirN, @BenLoosli, @STEVEG  @HamsterNL @TomU and @StephenW   a role that allows you to move posts.  I am not sure if you will receive the IPCONFIG error which will prevent you from logging into the community, but we will test it.

Hopefully, you will be able to move posts for:

https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Modeling-Questions/bd-p/CreoModeling

https://community.ptc.com/t5/Additional-Creo-Questions/bd-p/OtherCreoTopics

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE ANY OTHER POSTS.

IMPORTANT! Choose Do not notify Subscribers at the top of the tree.

Thank You!

Jaime Lee

Hurray! I moved my first post...

One down, 27.969 to go 😉

The good news is that for some reason the 21,000 number is "sticking" but we really only have 8,000 threads sitting there now in Creo Modeling.  🙂

It's another Lithium feature! Smiley Very Happy

BTW - According to what I see, almost all of those 27K+ posts are new:

    @Jaime_Lee

When I move a post with (multiple) replies, I get another option: Subscriptions

Which option should we choose? (my guess is "Move user's subscription to the new thread")

@HamsterNL   can send me the link of the post you are trying to move?

    Thanks!

Just curious if anyone else has been moving any posts?

I have a lot of *waiting* time today based on the model I am working on so I've been moving posts.

I have moved a couple of posts from the old Additional Questions.

I noticed I have to wait a moment after clicking on "Move Post".

I had a lot of down time yesterday while I was waiting for Creo.

I believe when you move to a board that has a lot of stuff already in it, it takes longer.

Also, I noticed when I mis-clicked and didn't sort post chronologically, the move was a lot faster. I don't want to do that on purpose but it was just an obvious observation.

It made for a nice time filler yesterday. The timing couldn't have been better for me. I waited for 6 hours on Creo yesterday AND it ended up successful.

Making a game of this process is helpful for me. What I did was I went to additional creo questions board and picked a label with the intention of "eliminating" that label. You can see progress that way. Better than looking at a big number and seeing that it gets slightly less big, you know, .01% reduction in posts that need to be moved.

I eliminated all posts in addtional creo questions that had a label attached.  #winning

Human nature thing. If something is boring and tedious, if you can set a goal and see progress, it makes it a little more purposeful.

All that being said, I'm still working on my large scan model so I have a lot of intermittent wait time.  Better than surfing the web for something to buy or reading news articles that pi$$ me off.
