Problem with time stamps

There seems to be a problem with the time stamps in the threads overview.

I dont't think that Luc has answered even before the question was posted 😉

Going into the thread the correct date stamp of the initial post is seen:

A similar discrepancy here:

and in the thread the correct date and time is displayed

I don't think that it matters but just for completeness sake: My time zone is GMT+1 and the date is shown in Year-Month-Day order.

Side question: The time unfortunately is still displayed in 12 hour format with AM & PM rather than in 24 hour format. I can find no option in my profile settings to change the time display. Is this a bug or is it as expected?

The first post you point out is one I moved earlier today. It was a new question and responses posted to an older and (seemingly to me) unrelated thread. So I split off that new question and its responses to a new topic. Apparently it is showing the time I made that move instead of the original time the post was made.

For the second one, I can see the edit history, and that post was edited on 5-4-2018. After a little digging it looks like all older Mathcad posts were "edited" on that date even though I don't see any actual changes to the posts. So, I suspect something happened on that date like a migration. If you look at the last page of Mathcad posts they all show that date. Maybe someone that was around remembers what was going on then, but that is before my time here.

So it appears if a topic is moved it looks at the time it arrived in its new location when displaying the date on the forum page.

As far as changing the time to a 24 hour format, unfortunately that isn't an option currently available. However, I do see that is a feature that has been requested by other Khoros customers and is under consideration.

OK, if the date changes when you move a post or when a migration took place it may be a matter of discussion if that should be that way but actually I don't care. But my point was that the date shown in the messages overview and at the message itself in the the thread should definitely be the very same. The current situation I would therefore call it a bug or an error.

BTW, any chance to get an option to set a 24 hour time display? Not a big deal but I just thought I'd ask.

I'm very curious by nature, and ... basically you can never be curious enough in life. 🙂
