Update on Ideas

Hi, Everyone,

I am sure you all have been watching keenly on Community Announcements to see what is coming next to the PTC Community for updates.  The next couple weeks I am working on training more product managers on how to use the idea exchange to "Change Statuses."

But, while we are launching out our new community idea program, we thought we would enable a new feature.  This feature will require "searching" before posting an idea.  This should help us reduce the number of duplicates.

Here are the steps that demonstrate how this feature will work.

Step 1:  User will "Suggest an idea"

Step 2:  User will type in desired title for their idea and select "Check Title."

Step 3:  User can choose to go to any idea posts with a similar title to add a comment or vote.

OR, the user can select the <Continue and Post> to post their idea.
