Thermal Expansion Modelling

Hi guys,

I was looking to get a Simulation license, but was curious about the thermal expansion capabilities and how it works.

Ideally, I want to model thermal expansion in parts and assemblies, and have instances of them at different temperatures, and therefore different sizes. Is this possible to do in Thermal mode?

Thanks

Tom

Yes, it is possible to model thermal expansion in parts and assemblies using Creo Simulation, particularly in Thermal mode. When applying thermal conditions to a model, you can simulate how different temperatures will affect the physical size of parts and assemblies due to thermal expansion. This is done by applying thermal loads that cause the material to expand or contract based on its thermal expansion coefficient.
