Is Creo an Acronym?

I am a Creo user, mostly Schematics and my HR Department has asked me if CREO is a acronym, does it stand for something?

Not and acronym.

It is a Latin Verb with a meanining:

I Create, Make, Produce

It was covered in the product rollout presentation.

    I remember that rollout presentation. It was done up like Pro/e was breaking out of jail.

    I personally like to think it was named after a Jamaican fortune teller "Mrs Creo".

    Or it was supposed was an accident when someone in marketing was eating OREO cookies and somehow OREO became CREO and the rest is history

    (i have to credit the PTCUser group for these)
