Hey guys. I want to solve a question in mathcad, but it gives me an udunderstandable answer. How can i evaluate the answer so it's only numbers. Thanks in advance see attached files.
don't post a picture.
Post your Mathcad worksheet
How can i attach a file? It seem not possible.
In the upper right corner of a dialog box (when you're responding to or writing a question, the link "use advanced editor" appears. Click that, and "attach" appears on the lower right corner.
Noone can figure out why it's so convoluted
You need to solve numerically, not symbolically. Look up solve blocks in the help. If you still can't get the answer you want, please post a worksheet.
Given that it is an assignment (Homework - I don't want to just say - here is the answer) as that will not be helpful for you.
However, I would suggest that:
Step 1.
change the definition for I from I:= to I(x):=
This will make it a function with parameter x that you can use anywhere.
Step 2:
as Richard suggests, delete the symbolic solve and look in the help files for the numeric equivalent, in this case 'find'
the solution should be easier - but if you get stuck at some point - post the new sheet & I'm sure that you will get further pointers
Andy
Congratulations! You solved it.
Your attached sheet had a solution, just needed to understand how to read it.
