CREO Parametric 5.0 - Error with Drawing template license

Using CREO Parametric 5.0 (5000): After creating a part model, and starting a new drawing using the default c-drawing template an error appears:

"The file C:\ProgramFiles\PTC\CREO5.0.0.0\CommonFiles\templates\c_drawing.drw was created in a commercial version and is not compatible with this version of CREO Parametric Student Edition"

It is using the built in templates, so how do we get CREO to allow this template to open up? It will start a drawing without a template, bu then no default views are added. This version was installed using the PTC Student (University, not K-12) install guide as found on PTC.
