Creo 5.0 Student Version error 0x06000012

The error 0x06000012 pops up when I open any creo Simulate, Parameter, Modelcheck, or direct. My license is valid and my windows home is up to date.

Does anybody know why this error pops up and what's a possible solution?

use Search functionality and look for 0x06000012 text string.
