We have the same problem here with our 1055cm. It's been suggested to
look for and try Vista drivers, sometimes they still work with Windows
7. Haven't tried it here yet.

I just found the drivers for my plotter.

I went to start -> Devices & Printers and clicked 'Add Printer' at the top of the window. I then followed the prompts to install a network printer. Mine is attached to the network directly, so it wasn't on the list, I had to enter an IP address. Then, it asked me to select it from the list. My HP 1055cm wasn't on the list, but once I clicked 'Windows Update', the list was refreshed and it was there. It installed just fine, however, it won't print via the command I used with XP (lpr -S <ip address="> -P <ip address=">). It does work through Windows Print Manager.

If I go to a DOS prompt and type 'lpr', I get ''lpr' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.' I wonder if command line printing in Windows 7 is different ...

Thanks for the info, my copy of Windows 7 was missing the Windows Update button in the Add Printer dialog. I finally found that someone had turned off the reg settings that allow that button to show.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DriverSearching
    REG_DWORD DontSearchWindowsUpdate to '1'
    REG_DWORD DontPromptForWindowsUpdate to '1'

Reseting them to 0 cures the problem.

I'm trying to get my server controlled publishing to work again, and I'm running into a problem with proeworker.bat not starting up properly under server control.

If I try to publish an object from windchill by clicking on the pyramid, the system hangs at Registering Server.

    Sep 29, 2010 3:02:31 PM: Registering Server

However if I remote into the worker machine and start proeworker.bat from the command line, then publishing works. To be clear, I'm starting that as myself, not the windchill user I have in the fileadapterauth.properties file. That user is just a windchill user. It has no login to the worker machine on its own. This used to work.

    Any ideas? Suggestions?

In the Update Group dialog there used to be a pick for recomputing the team membership.

In 9.1 I no longer see it. Where did this go?
