Help! seems my current creo_parametric_customization.UI file causes a crash at startup

Hi all,

As the title suggests, I don't know if deleting my creo_parametric_customization.UI file is my only option in getting to do my work using Creo Parametric 10.0.1.0

Things worked fine yesterday.  But this morning, if I don't delete the UI file, the software crashes after showing the splash screen.

Traceback.log suggests "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION"

If I delete the creo_parametric_customization.UI file, software works fine.  But my ribbon and quick-toolbar customizations are gone...

And attempting to import them from the backup .UI causes a fatal error crash.

Any suggestions?

I suppose it is wise to keep a backup of a (working) creo_parametric_customization.UI file...

Hi,

I hope you know that you can ask PTC Support

Q: Do you use Creo Parametric 10.0.1.0, only?

If you are using multiple versions of Creo, you must set the PTC_WF_ROOT variable for each version to point to a different directory.
