Widget Validation not Working

Hi,

 I am trying to use the validation inputs for a text box widget. If I manually set these parameters then it works as intended and looks like this: 

But if I try to bind validation functions to these parameters for when the text box has a comma, then it simply doesn't work. I have already verified that my service is working correctly and is bound to the properties correctly, but for some reason it just doesn't work when I bind it over on validation. Any ideas?
