Creo 5 Windchill Connection

Hello,

I have a question about using Creo 5 in connection with Windchill 12.0.

I have seen in the compatibility matrix this PTC has stated that it is not compatible.
What does this mean, am I still able to check-in files?

I have tried to setup the server but I get the feedback :
The server is not supported.
So, the conclusion is that you are not able to use Windchill with Creo 5 anyhow?
Thanks for the help.

Regards,
Bert

Hi @bbusschers

In any word you can not use Creo 5 with Windchill 12

Check if there is higher subversion of Creo that could be supported.

This chart shows version compatibility. You need to upgrade to at least 7. I think 5 might be off support. Why so old a version?

@avillanueva

Very simple answer.

Many other connected companies use this version or more simple reason is that they don't have maintenance.

PS: I remember one customer worked with ProE Wildfire 4 connected to Windchil 11,1 somehow :D.

Hi everyone,

Interesting scenario.

I was thinking if that particular customer is still in Perpetual License model., which paves way for customers staying out of AMCs.

PTC has , I think moved 90% or more to subscription model.

I believe only DS still provides perpetuals, not Siemens and PTC.
