This is just a feeler for how other companies manage Select at Test
components (possibly used with electrical boards) in PDMLink. For those
who do not know, these would be components values that are unknown until
testing. Because of variability in certain elements of the board design
or system, values for certain resistors or capacitors can only be
obtained as the time of testing. The designer specifies a set of
components of different values that should be used in that location.
Purchasing should order all of them as a set.
Currently, we've been using a reference designator like RSAT1 or CSAT2
and substitutes. Basically, we would pick a value and list the other
values as substitutes on the BOM. If anyone does something similar, how
do you handle it.
