Windchill Download preference

Version: Windchill 12.1

 

Use Case: Download preference in windchill keeps changing to use the desktop integration


Description:

I have a user who wants the download preference to be the basic browser functionality. He sets that preference but when he downloads a part number log he's greeted with this error message. Is there something that needs to be set so this stops happening?

They likely saw this message when they used the desktop integration:

You can change a setting in the integration to stop this from occurring:

avillanueva_1-1743170844195.png

Right click on your configuration or view user settings. Uncheck this option and it should stop.
