DB Schema downgrade from 9.2 to 8.4

Hi, 

There is a situation, where there is requirement to downgrade the DB to the 8.4 from 9.2. Is there any way to do that ?

As per the TWX Support, there is no other way to donwgrade, better to keep a backup(dump) of the DB before we upgrade !!

It is not possible to downgrade major/minor releases due to architectural/schema differences.
