How to pass a parameter to a gadget in a dashboard ?

Just could not figure out how to do this:

I want to be able to create a dashboard with multiple gadgets in them. The gadgets have mashup properties for thing names so they can get property data and display them.

The dashboard widget does not have any property binding option to pass parameters to gadgets. How is this done ?

Thanks,

Orhan

When you add a Gadget to a Dashboard, it copies "context" values. That means that you need to put the Gadgets on a Mashup where you will bind values to its properties, then when you are viewing this Mashup which has Gadgets on it, thouse gadgets will appear with a "+" button, you tap this "+" button and it automatically copies current Gadget parameters values to the Dashboard.

Carles can you explain that process with a little more detail? I cannot see yet how to bind data from the parent mashup (the one containing the dashboard) to the gadget, or from the dashboard to the gadget..

Thank you for your help.

Hi João,

The Gadget should be contained on a Mashup not on a Dashboard, in order to allow TW to "copy" Gadget parameters to the Dashboard. When you have the desired Gadget on a Mashup you will see "+" button that will allow you to send that Gadget to the desired Dashboard.
