General Changes to Content Delivery Network (CDN) Procedure content (images, videos, 3D models, and published procedures) is no longer served from *.azureedge.net. It is now served from the following URLs: *.vuforia.com atomiclioncms-cbadesg9e0fmaucz.a03.azurefd.net atomiclioncmseu-a0htf5hbfkaxfff4.a03.azurefd.net This change affects all Content Delivery Network (CDN) endpoints used by the clients, including API integration. Be sure to enable the *.vuforia.com wildcard in your network firewall configuration along with the two azurefd.net domains as listed above. It is also recommended that existing rules for azureedge.net be kept in place for at least one additional release. PTC engineers, please watch the video. Customer made me aware of this issue. Loading folder contents in Editor became very slow recently. This makes it hard to efficiently use Vuforia Editor. (view in My Videos)  

I can't go to the Editor page. there is a "Bad Request" error Does anyone else get this error?

The following configuration parameters are available in the Vuforia Expert Capture product settings: Force Reauthentication in Vantage Mobile and RealWear App   The information reads: "Force Vantage mobile and RealWear app users to reauthenticate after a device has been inactive for a specified amount of time. Users will also be prompted to sign in again the next time they launch the app. This value specifies the duration (minutes) of inactivity needed before signing users out of Vantage and requiring reauthentication; when set to 0, the setting is disabled, and users will not be signed out automatically." But now I realize that I have to log in again in Vantage App on iPadOS and iOS after a longer period of inactivity of e.g. 5 days. I have not yet been able to determine an exact period of time.    Why is that?

In the next Vuforia Expert Capture release (3.22.0), we will introduce new domain URLs. To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend doing the following before the release in late June: Test and verify that the new URLs are accessible. If necessary, add them to your company's allow list: https://vuforia.portal.ptc.com/ https://api.portal.ptc.com/ Update Vuforia Vantage on your devices to version 3.21.0 or later. There is no need to update your browser bookmarks; you will be automatically redirected to the new URLs once they become the default. Additionally, your generated QR codes will continue to function.To facilitate testing, the new URLs are available in the current release (3.21.0), allowing you to test them before they are used in production in the Vuforia Expert Capture 3.22.0 release.For more information about URLs that must be allow-listed, see Network Configuration Requirements.

A customer made me aware of this issue. The screenshot is taken from an iPhone SE. It shows the latest version of Vuforia Vantage. The user took a photo to be added to his feedback. Entering text is possible, but the text input is hidden and the user has no chance to see the text entered.

I would save a lot of time to have more shapes available in the image editor, like "warning", ...   See my screenshot. I think it explains well what I mean.  

Hi everybody, An IDEA, for Vuforia Expert Capture,In Editor, I have no text to highlight my step. And it's not possible to have a Title.And with Vantage, I see "My Step List",  with a number and the beginning of text zone.I can't struture my procedure with titles for steps. IDEA :Introduce a "TITLE" for for each step in my procedure. And after publishing, Vantage can use these titles for the STEP LIST Enhancement for new releases ThanksHervé

Hi everybody, An IDEA, for Vuforia Expert Capture,when I have an image or a video in a STEP,  I have no capabilty to "REPLACE" this one by new one (more recent).And if it's this image or video is in multiple steps and proceduresI must delete all of this in each step and procedure and add manually the new one in all steps and procedures. IDEA :Create feature (below "Rename" or "Move") "REPLACE" or "RE-IMPORT" an image/video by another one and auomatically update STEPS and PROCEDURES.After, we can choose to Republish or Not Enhancement for new releases ThanksHervé

Hello Team,I want to know one doubt whether it can be possible or not. If possible, how? in Vuforia studio I created an assembly instruction of a machine in model target experience with animation sequence now that  experience I am viewing from HoloLens while i am doing assembly instruction after placing the 1st component the VEC should check that model whether it is placed correct or not if its correct then it should proceed to next step if it's wrong it should not proceed to next step like this i want in every step to check the component whether i paced it correctly or not through VEC. Will it is possible through integration of Vuforia studio with Vuforia Expert Capture.

Since I introduced StepCheck (Vuforia Expert Capture), I can no longer publish my workflow in Expert Capture to stay on the latest version. The publication always fails. The error type says the following: "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'url'). Do you know what I can do against it? 

We are testing Vuforia Vantage with RealWear headsets and we'd like to make the experience as simple as possible for our end users. It's possible to add apps directly to the home screen of RealWear, but you need the Custom Package Name and I can't seem to find it for Vuforia Vantage, does anyone know what this is? I've been able to find custom packages for the following, but not Vantage.Expert Capture: com.ptc.vuforia_captureView: com.ptc.vuforiaviewChalk: com.vuforia.chalk Thanks!! 

In the German localization texts are to long for their respective position in the UI. This screenshot is taken from an iPhone 14 Pro. "Schritt 1" (Step 1) is too long for the the area in the UI.   The text "Scan des Bereichs hinzufügen, um diese Funktion zu" is not a complete sentence.   The text "SCAN DES BEREICHS ERSTELLEN" is also to long for the button area. It could be shortened to fit there "BEREICH SCANNEN".

I find it confusing that when recording a procedure in Vantage on iOS, there is no button that obviously causes the recording to be saved. The button with the cross rather indicates canceling the recording. I think it would be more intuitive to have a button that says “Save Capture”.

I have a newer version of a CAD Model with added features that I want to place in a Procedure that has StepCheck activated and it's already trained, is there a way of replacing the old Model (the one in the procedure) with the newer one without loosing all the training performed for stepcheck?

Hello Community,     I would like humbly ask that i am calling an API to get all the insights but the title, firstName, lastName and email fields are having stars when it returns the result. Automatic opening of a link when switching to a step (optional) Our customer would like to make the following suggestion for improvement: Currently, links can already be inserted, but these must then be opened manually (nobody forces the user to open the file/website). It should be possible to define whether the link opens automatically or manually in a step Background: If, for example, bonding instructions (generally valid documents) or “complaint listing” (collection of errors) are stored as a link, then these should be opened automatically when jumping to the step. This could be used to link external documents that are managed outside of Expert Capture. It also ensures that the document has been opened.

Our customer would like to make the following suggestion for improvement: It should be possible in the Vantage app to report back several photos per step as feedback when carrying out a procedure. One photo is not enough to depict more complex problems.
