Is there any documentation around what might not be compatible between Windchill 10.2 and Arbortext 7

Hi,We are generating Word/RTF documents from styler and are having difficulties getting orderedlist numbers (<orderedlist><listitem><para>) to display with the correct font family and size (Calibri and 10pt). Also, the bullet list items (<itemizedlist><listitem><para>) are aligning directly under the orderedlist numbers rather than indenting. It appears there are default settings for these features because, we have adjusted Indent settings located in: Generated text -> Details...-> Indent following lines. However, this adjustment has no effect on the output.Can someone please provide guidance on how we can get the ordered list numbers to display with respective font family and size and most importantly getting indention when bullet list items are used?Thanks in advance!-Morais

I am attempting to create some helper plugins for our authors using Java. I made a post earlier this morning outlining that I cannot get 6.0 to see my custom/classes. On another machine I have 6.1, and it does read the custom/classes as advertised. Now I have come to another issue. It seems that the JRE Arbortext uses does not include the awt.event classes? In both my own developed test app, as well as the sample 'TagContent' app, I get this exception in the JavaConsole:Line 95 is at the bottom of this image:This is the error when attempting to run the sample provided by PTC. If I comment out the lines that call for 'ActionListener' I get no errors. Not sure what the 'correct' way is to use a button in Java Swing within Arbortext.Any help is much appreciated.Thank you,T.F.

This is probably a very basic question, with a beyond simple answer that I have overlooked, but I cannot get Arbortext to run the sample Java classes after placing them in the custom/classes folder. I am attempting to create some plugins for our authors here, and was hoping to run the samples to see how everything works. I get this error:[A30134] Cannot find the Java class TreeView.I have closed and reopened Editor multiple times with no luck. I am using Arbortext 6.0 date code M100.I was able to run this on 6.1 date code M090 once I compiled with the same version of Java as the Arbortext JVM. I tried this today once I got to work, but no luck, same error. Am I overlooking something? Reading the documentation I am lead to believe that Arbortext loads all classes in the custom/classes folder upon startup. Also, by placing the classes there I would not need to make any changes to the classpath for Arbortext.I tried placing an ACL in the custom/init folder with this command (as the README

using arbortext editor 5.4 when setting preferences i get the error message "couldn't open C:\users\user\arbortext.wcf for write: permission denied

Hello community,Isodraw crashes every time with certain graphics (3D) when we try to edit it. This issue happens on all our HP Zbook 15 laptops (5 times).When we use our laptops outside the dockingstation Isodraw is working fine. All drivers are updatet and the graphic adapter is NVIDIA Quadro K2100M.How can we solve this issue. Any ideas?Regards

Hello everyone,I have an issue whereby the pub _newline markup is not coming through in my output.It is placed within an element that is hidden and pulled through into a gentext table.The funny thing is, it was working some time ago,... and IS working in the v5.4 output (i have the same fosi cleaned up to use in v5.4) ... I'm not sure what I've changed that it doesn't now have effect in v7.The .dcf looks ok (touchup is yes) ... anything else I should be checking?Thanks,Tracey

The PTC TS tell me that only the eps has tiff preview image can display in APP correctly, then the question is how could i add the tiff preview image into the eps file.

We are creating a ps file from editor then sending it through distiller. We are getting a thin visible box being generated around xrefs in footnotes. The xrefs in steps are ok. Does anyone know where to modify this? We can do it in adobe pro using the add or edit link feature and changing the appearance to invisible rectangle, but it would be time consuming.ThanksBryon

I have information in tables (tools, spare parts) put inside the topics and I would like them to be hidden on the topic level and have all the tables consolidated in the output at the bookmap level. How feasible it is to have in Arbortext that gives me a pdf output?

Hi,Is there any way to speed up loading the ArborText editor faster.When we open any xml file, it is taking significant amount of time to open the editor.

We've recently upgraded to Isodraw 7.3 from 7.0.We have a macro that draws ribbed pipes but it no longer works properly in 7.3.It's a long macro so I won't put it here unless someone wants me to.The macro has a while loop in it that prompts the user to select a point on a line - it adds ribs along this line each loop until the user exits by clicking in space.It worked fine in 7.0, but in 7.3 it works OK for a few seconds and then Isodraw hangs for several minutes as though it's stuck in an endless loop. It eventually exits the macro.Strange thing though is that it's not based on the number of ribs it draws (i.e. the number of loops) but on time since the macro started - if you pick points quickly, you can get more ribs drawn than if you pick them slowly.Is 7.3 less forgiving of bugs, or could I be using some functions that no longer work properly?Any general guidance would be very welcome. I can post the whole macro if anyone is interested.

I'm setting up an S1000D project (in Arbortext CSDB with around 2000 DMs) to use S1000D Applicability - the aim being to use extensive inline applicability to reduce duplication. The problem appears to be that we need to produce PDF output, and as far as i can see the Arortext CSDB (4.2 M039) only filters at DM applicability level, and there is no way to basically extract ONLY the relevent data for a specific customer by it pulling only the inline applicability and common paragaphs. In other words, when the PDF is generated via Arbortext Publisher (4.2 M030) ALL of the applicabilities are listed in the output PDF whereas i need only single customers.Does anybody know a way around this for printed output. Would a later version of either the CSDB, or the Publisher, enable us to generate PDF output for specific customers only? If so there is a good chance i can get the system upgraded.Thanks in advance.

Hi there,we have a bunch of 2d and 3d graphics that have "object tips" in the Objects.  We only need to remove the object tip (the hovering text) part.Is there an existing custom macro for that or is there a batch process technique?   I would like to streamline the process for efficiency.Any ideas?krJanine

How will this application will provide detail by comparison two versions of documents with details like no of pages added, no of pages deleted, No of content that got modified etc.

Does anyone have any experience using Arbortext with screen magnification software? I have a vision impairment and use a screen magnification application. Just learning Arbortext. Finding that scrolling and screen refreshes are very slow, even to the point of crashing my laptop. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello everyone.I am very new to IsoDraw, using v7.3, and I have a small issue.I want to convert .CGM file to its clear text encoding. I know my input file is encoded in binary and I want to use a command line to convert it to clear text encoding. There are a few things I don't understand :- What should be the command like ? For now I've been trying to change many subtleties but nothing seems to work.I always start with this : [path_to_isodraw.exe]\IsoDraw73.exe -s"path_to_source_file" -d"path_to_destination_file" . Then I try to use a simple macro with this only command "Export "path_to_cgm" "CGM". I checked in the preference file for my specific parameters and it seems ok. This macro is saved in my C:\User\myname\AppData\Roaming\ptc\Isodraw\Macro so I add this to my command line, giving this :[path_to_isodraw.exe]\IsoDraw73.exe -s"path_to_source_file.cgm" -d"path_to_destination_file.cgm" -m"C:\C:\User\myname\AppData\Roaming\ptc\Isodraw\Macro\convertCGM.ism".Now others questions I have
