Vuforia Expert Capture

With the Vuforia Expert Capture and Instruct 2.13.0 update, managers and administrators will now manage published procedures through the Distribution Center, which will replace the Published Procedures page. The Distribution Center also allows administrators and managers to create Distributions Lists. Published procedures can then be associated to these lists which will allow managers to set permissions on multiple procedures with a single action. The Distribution Center can be accessed from the PUBLISH tab of a published procedure or directly via https://go.studio.vuforia.com/distribution Users that access the Distribution Center directly from the PUBLISH tab will be taken to the Manage Viewers tab for that procedure. Hi, Currently, is it possible to export a VEC procedure, and all the assets that are referenced in it, from a Vuforia Editor account in a first organization to import it into a Vuforia Editor account in a second organization ?

Is the free space on the HoloLens controlled bevor a capture is started?Maybe based on an average file size of captures this could help the end user so that captures are no interrupted. 

Current Situation:Due to the position of the cameras on HoloLens devices the field of view could be a bit displaced.The user don't know what they are capturing. Target Situation:A small in build video viewer would be a helpful feature for the user to verify what he is capturing.

Current Situation:If SSO for a company is activated the user gets an email where he has to click a link to activate his account. Target Situation:If SSO is activated for a specific domain the invite mail is not needed any more the account could be directly activated by the administrator.

With the enhancement of Move Multiple, I am reorganizing the our Editor a little bit.I have noticed every object has to have the checkbox selected manually.You cannot select one, hold shift, select another, and have all objects in-between be selected.This would greatly help when reorganizing or if a project has uploaded to the wrong folder.

Current Situation:Currently there are no options to make in Video annotations. Target Situation:It would be a good option to highlight specific item in videos especially if there is no CAD data available. Like Arrows or circles would be a good starting point. I have something in mind which is already available in private tools like Instagram or Snapchat where I'm able to make in Video annotations. This would be also really helpful in an industrial context. I got a lot of questions from our business regarding this feature. This would be also a unique selling point.

Current Situation:The video editor is very basic. Target Situation:It would be nice if features like lighting, saturation, details, focus and zoom could be added to the editors functionality so that no external video editing tool is required.

Current Situation:Currently for every language a different procedure has to be created. Target Situation:It would be helpful if the procedure has to be created just once and the language could be switched by a button or drop down menu. The benefit would be we just have to update one procedure and maybe in the future an automatic translation feature could be implemented.

We are planning a Vuforia Instruct workshop, and hope to add the AutoValidation function to it. In addition, I want to know when the AutoValidation function will be officially released. If customers are interested, how can they participate in the Beta program?

We are aware of an intermittent issue that occurred when attempting to invite a new user. Administrators were receiving the error message below, even though the user was not present in the organization.     Action Required: If you've encountered this issue, please open a PTC tech support ticket that includes the affected users. This will enable us to quickly resolve the issue for you.   *This issue has been resolved for inviting new users that have not previously been affected. 

It would be very useful if Vuforia Editor would resize uploaded image files (jpg, png ...) to be correctly display in the respective UIs on different screen sizes. Currently it is nearly impossible to achieve that images are shown without being cut off.   Example screenshot taken from an iPad Pro 12.9 inch in Vuforia View.    

Would a user account password expire within the Vuforia Editor?

As per this thread - new question: @tmccombie would it be possible to make view access on newly published procedures a configuration choice by an organization? We typically allow all users to see Released data. It would be easier to change for the exception of restricting access. Possibly another choice could be whoever has access to that folder would have access to the procedure when published.

Good day Community,  I am wondering if you know something about the condition based procedure flow  for the VEC. Is something like this on the roadmap? ​ For example:  if the step instruction  said “step 10: If any of the 3 sensors is dirty, go to step 15” Step 11: Move to next check location .. .. Step 14 : do A and B and  C and hen skip to step 16 Step 15:  follow these cleaning steps … first XXXXX, then YYYY etc .. finally ” Step 16 : proceed normally ​ So that after step 10 we are going directly to step 15   A lot of customers asking about this capability?  What is your ideas regarding it?   Best Regards Olena
