Hi,I'm using AAD. Does anyone know how to use Publisher to enter the content seen in the Fig 1 Layout - Title Page of the S1000D spec? I see no obvious way of editing all these values in the Publisher in a way that relates to the code in the spec, such as <pmTitle>. I couldn't find a reference to this in the help files.I"m also stumped by the Publishing Issue\Preferences\Publishing Project - Introduction tab. What XML is valid to load here? Also, in the Company Information Tab you can load a 24 pixel high graphic, but in my output the result is stretched. What are the correct image dimensions? Even if you do enter the company information it does not appear on the first page of the PDF publication so I can't see how entering this information relates to the cover of PDF output.Greg

Hello.   Is it possible to customize the built-in Object Browser that is used by Editor to view objects in Windchill? My gut tells me no. However, I am not an expert. If this is possible, what documents/links would help? Thank you

Hello Arbortext Iso Draw User! I have a little problem with my macro toolbar. After recording a macro, I want to add it to my toolbar. Unfortunately the macro, like the one I selected, is not included in the toolbar. Instead, an already existing macro is added to the bar again! Can someone help, please? Thanks a lot

Hi, can someone share a sample XML file that uses the descript.xsd schema? I need something to start building a style sheet and I don't have any XML files. I haven't been able to find it myself.   If you want to xxx out your data, at the command line type replace(".","x",0x2004)   Thanks!

I am trying to make our tables more WYSIWYG in Arbortext editor. We have custom attributes that define cell shading, font color and border color. We are looking to create the processing instruction on the table (for border color) and on the entries (for the shading). Note, the font color is set by FOSI, and is working correctly. We have tried to create the PI from FOSI, but it looks like shading doesn't work that way. See https://community.ptc.com/t5/Arbortext/alternate-row-shading/m-p/547179/highlight/true#M31463 Does anyone know why?   If FOSI doesn't work, I will create an ACL function that will traverse the entire doc and create (or update) the PI entries in all the tables in the document. I can't, however, find how do I trigger the ACL script on document load.  Does anyone know how I trigger the function?   Thanks, Yakir    

Dear Adepters, We are using tables, based on Oasis models (in a DTD). Is there a way to alternate row shading in tables display ? Maybe using 'tabstyle' attribute of <table>, Fosi (we have one) or Processing Instructions ? Thanks for your answers, Sébastien

Hi,   I can't produce PDF links in PDFs generated by File > Publish > PDF File in Arbortext 7.1.  I dug through the config files and found this in C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor\doctypes\pdfconfig\pdfconfig.dtd:   The Annotations section allows you to turn off PDF features that aren't relevant for printing, such as bookmarks and links. This could speed up processing, and is required for PDF/X. ..... <!ELEMENT Annotations EMPTY ><!ATTLIST Annotations          enabled         %yesno; #IMPLIED          nameddestToPage %yesno; #IMPLIED >   Is this where I can configure AT to generate PDF links?   Thanks, Bob

Greetings.   Currently using ArborText Editor with Styler 7.0. I looking to use Editor at a Windows CLI to publish documents into various formats. Right now, I am attempting to publish to PDF. The following is part of what I could put together (referenced from  - http://support.ptc.com/help/arbortext_hc/ae70_hc/en/#page/admin%2Fadmin%2Fhelp5717_help5717_1.html%23). I would like to know if my options are correct as I am not seeing a file generated.   editor -c -C1 stylesheet_select(<path to stylesheet>, <use>, <doc>)  <output file>   path to stylesheet  = windows path to stylesheet use = 1 (which should be Publish to PDF) doc = ??? output file = location of *.pdf   What options correspond to the input document (originating document that should be converted)? What options should be specified for the output?

How to create a copy of the current file in Arbortext Editor to my location with ACL? I work with file1.xml and want to create a copy to C:\file2.xml and continue work with file1.xml save_as and doc_save commands create a copy and show it in the Arbortext window (file2.xml).

I'm working in Styler 7.0 with an APP-based stylesheet and I have two instances where the DivisionReference is pulling in the wrong data when used in Generated Content. I'm using DivisionReference in a ufe to pull in the title of a chapter within a book object. If a formalpara tag is used in a chapter, the DivisionReference pulls in the content of the formalpara's title tag, even though the Division reference is only supposed to be looking at the chapter division (and formalpara isn't even listed under the possible divisions to select from). The other instance is I'm using DivisionReference in another ufe to pull in the number of a chapter within a book object. The counter for the chapter number is getting set incorrectly under a specific condition (a prior chapter within the part has a table with a specific attribute applied). The stylesheet thinks all chapters after the chapter with a table in it have the same chapter number, and I can't figure out how to adjust the counter so it's w

I'm having trouble editing graphics that that are referenced in a DITA topic: If I'm editing a topic that is saved locally, double-clicking a graphic opens it in my laptop's default program as expected. However, if I view (or check out and edit) a topic that is in Windchill, I get the following warning:   Is there something I need to set up on the server side, in my DTD, or in a local environment variable?

How can I get ACL or C# to give me the full path and filename to the DTD for the current file? In C#, I'm able to get the filename only (no path) by using a node's OwnerDocument.Doctype.SystemId property. In ACL, I'm trying to use the dtd_decl_path() function, but it just won't give me any results when I supply it with the Public Id and catalog path. I've also tried the catalog_resolve() method, which is similar, but with no success.   Obviously this data is available to Arbortext; I just can't figure out how to get to it. It seems as though I shouldn't have to supply a Public Id, or catalog path, or anything since Arbortext has already resolved all of this and is quite aware of the DTD and its location. This information show up on Help -> Session -> Document tab. How can I get ACL to give me this info?

We have following customer requirement under Image/Document library. How can we address this. "The user shall be able to view images loaded in system which may have invalid ICC Color Profile associated with it. Because of invalid ICC profile, the particular image doesn't appear in Spec Reports (PDF) when generated"

Please see attached capture that what style I want. Which widgets can help with this? I don't have any sense of this.   Thanks a lot!

I am attempting to publish an xml document and all its dependencies, and am using the Tools -> Save Application function. However, I am getting an issue where all of the referenced graphics are saved under /portable_doc/portable_doc_files/ with completely different names. Then, in the log file it states that the "Graphic entity can not be resolved." Is there any way to prevent these references from being lost or these files from being renamed?

When annotating an illustration using the callout tool then trying to export as a .cgm file V4 I get the message  "No support for callouts" is there somewhere in the advanced settings that can get me around the problem?

Hi,   I am attempting to create new elements in my stylesheet, I created them by copying another element that has the same base properties I need, giving it a new unique name, and then saving it. After creating them, they do not appear in my style sheet list, I need to unselect the 'Only elements in document' and 'Only elements in document type' options from the View menu in the Styler.   The new elements I have created I put into my template xml file, but when I open the template, the tags for the new elements are red with a strike through, I can type any text into them, and parser messages appear for each tag with the following:   Error: unknown element in start tag. There is no such element as 'newelement'   How can I incorporate these new elements I have created into my stylesheet so they work with my documents?   Thanks. Sean.
