Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I need users within a specific group to access and initiate workflows.Description: I have created a new product "Parts" and set up the groups and users.I need the user within the new "CAD User Group" to initiate a workflow.The issue is they can not see the Templates option under "Parts".I added both the Workflow Authors and Workflow Administrators groups to the user with no change.I can see if I add the Org Admin group to the user they can see templates, but then they have too much authority.

I recently faced an issue in ThingWorx Mashup related to menu visibility for another user, and although I found a workaround, I’d like to understand why this happens and if there’s a better alternative. Problem:I created a mashup that includes menus and assigned visibility and runtime permissions to another user.When I log in as myself, I can see the mashup and all menu details correctlyBut when the other user (with runtime permissions) logs in, the mashup loads but the menu items are not visible.What I Tried:When I tried to fetch the same menus through a service call, the menus loaded properly — both for me and for the other user.So, fetching via a service worked, but showing them directly in the mashup did not.My Questions:Why does this behavior occur even after providing proper visibility and runtime permissions?Are there additional permissions or settings (like for entities, data shapes, or mashup parameters) that affect menu visibility?Is using a service to load menus dynamic

Hello Everyone,I’m currently facing a challenge in Windchill where I need to terminate a bulk promotion request that has been assigned to a single user. Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a project in Creo 12 where I want to use pro program to optimize and partially automate the design. For this, I would need to be able to automatically generate different amount of datum planes depending on the input and I need to place components in the assembly contrained by those planes. Is their a way of doing this in pro program? If Yes, can someone tell me how. It would help a lot.

Hello,   I want to connect my windchill account with my creo 7,   However it shows error: - 715db4df-2d3f-48b1-a37c-76142da3116c - 8fd84892-af44-4065-8653-7c673a6ee021 everytime I open creo, and show nothing after selecting: File>Manage Session>Server Management.   Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?   Kind regards, TC

Hello folks,I'm a new user for Creo Schematics (specifically using Schematics Lite 12.0) and I've been trying to modify the sample catalog into a broader Template for my org to use, but I'm having trouble actually saving the Template file such that any of my changes actually stick. My workflow is as follows:Open an instance of Schematics and load in the sample catalog. Delete the provided design explorer sheets.Modify the sheets in Catalog Explorer (simply swap the PTC logo and address for my company's on the A3 sheet, for example)Save As to an RSDT file.Having done that I would expect that when I open a file and point to this newly created Template, the A3 sheet should have the logo and address but it doesn't.What exactly am I doing wrong? Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I have managed to find the "com.ptc.windchill.pdmlink.change.server.impl" package on my PC but there is no package that exists in there called "WorkflowProcessHelper". According to the Javadoc that is available via the client, this class exists. It is also called in one of the OOTB workflow robots.Description: I am trying to establish where classes, that I am unable to see on the server but are called in workflow robots, are stored. Can anybody shed light on this?

Hello All,I have attached MC-P11 sheets. How can I  extract the segment lengths values "L" out of last iterations of this following function. There are two conditions as you can see in subsequent calculations:                            1. For Element B in Compression, comp="B"2. I achieved this using the method detailed under the "Instructions for Windchill PDMLink 10.0 - 12.1" at https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS35488?source=search.Description: The issue with this solution is that the solution applied to all workflow tasks. I would like to be able to only apply this solution to workflow tasks that are generated as a result of them being produced from a certain workflow. The article found at https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS35488?source=search includes a function that is added into the custom.jsfrag file. I was wondering if it would be possible to include text in this function that will result in the result I am looking for. For example, some sort of "If" condition that checks the "Process" attribute value of the workflow task to see if it matches a certain value before apply
