Best way to simulate bolted joints assembly
Hi everybody,
I have to simulate a stell structure with several bolted joints.
The aim is to estimate the total structure capabilities so I have also to estimate shearing loads on bolts.
I have 2 tools availables for doing this job : Merchanica structure or Ansys Mechanical.
So my first question is "what would be the best choice between those softwares" ?
What would be the easiest tool for handeling bolted joints (about 20) ?
So is there any tutorial on the web that explain a good method for simulate screws stress ?
