This month’s challenge is about tautochrone curves and isochronous curves. They are very similar. Both involve placing an object on the curve and allowing it to slide without friction. With a tautochrone, an object placed at any point on the curve will take the same time to slide to the bottom. With isochronous curves, objects allowed to slide from any part of the curve will have the same period of oscillation. You can think of the tautochrone as “half” of the isochronous curve, as it is only concerned with how long it takes the object to reach the bottom.In this scenario, the “top” of the tautochrone curve is at a height of 10 meters on the left side. The end point is at ( 0, 0 ). (The “top” of the isochronous curve on the other side is 10 meters on the right side.) Design a curve such that an object placed at any point on the curve will take the same time to slide without friction to the end point under the effect of uniform gravity. Hi folks,I’m running Creo Parametric Educational Edition 12.4.0.0. and I’m having issues with my config.pro file.I’m trying to turn on “tol_display” so that I don’t have to manually turn it on every time I create a drawing. Up to this point I go into the Configuration Editor make my change, export the updated file to the “C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 12.4.0.0\Common Files\text” folder but nothing happens. Whenever I create a new drawing, I have to manually turn on tol_display for that session. Inside the new config.pro file it’s set to “tol_display yes”.So why isn’t Creo reading the updated configurations from Config.pro?
Hi We want to know which section is used in Flange (I, Arc, S , Open Etc...) using toolkit... Could not find any direct API for same. So , thought of using element tree. Is there any element which stores this predefined shape name for flange feature element tree? Created a flange feature with I section, extracted element tree in XML. Modified flange as S section and extracted again element tree... Both the XML files are same so getting confused on how to identify which element is storing this information. If no element is there for this, is there any possibility to decide on this information?
I have purchased a new computer because my old computer can not be updated to windows 11. I have Mathcad 14, #15, Mathcad Prime 3.1 on my old computer. I want to put them on my new computer and my question is whether I can copy the files to a usb drive and put them onto my new computer? Or cand is download the from and old download file? Or do I new to get a new download from PTC?Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Issue background - We have model view on drawing. We want to add Text mentioning specific location in view. When we add text on model view, it is not hiding background model view lines.Also we dont have functionality for Text with white background in Creo drawings.Workaround test - Failed1) Using Hatched Square added on view with white fill color.With this lines still show in Creo drawing as well as exported PDF. 2) Using Symbol of hatched square filled with white color. With this lines gets hidden in Creo drawing but in exported pdf, lines still shows.
Bonjour à tous,J’ai un sujet à vous soumettre.En conception j’utilise beaucoup les tables de familles pour faire varier les pièces similaires et j’incorpore également ces tables à mes mises en plans pour le lancement en fabrication. Exemple : Pièce A ==> 3 TROUS Ø10 espacés de 100 mm; Pièce B ==> 4 TROUS Ø10 espacés de 25 mm. En général, dans ma table de famille j’ajoute un paramètre chaine (STRING), disons C, pour lequel j’indique alors pour la pièce A, 2x100=200 et pour la pièce B, 3x25=75. Ainsi je peux coter le générique, peu importe le nombre de trous puisque je crée une cote 2d nommée C entre le premier et le dernier trou. Jusqu’alors, le paramètre C est renseigné manuellement pour chaque instance et est donc sujet à erreur. Hey there,I’m following the mouse tutorial (Link) and loosing my hair over the geometry import at 12m13s. I cannot rectangle select the faces nor does another online workaround I read about holding right mouse button on a face and “select all” appear. The only option I have atm is selecting every single face one after another holding control. Which on some models are thousands, so not feasible. I tried holding LMB and drag, tried it with RMB, MMB, holding shift, alt or ctrl in addition but no success.Here’s how it looks (language is set to german by the company): How can I select all of them? It is fascinating to me that after all of these years and revenue of 3 Billions USD per year… You are still unable to hire UI UX designers to create a logical workflow and interface, instead of this useless tabs and popups that fly around and waste time…Even solidworks got some things right and solidworks is not a good software at all…
We run FLEXnet on our company license server for Mathcad licenses. Currently on version 12. Our Mathcad license file has both permanent and subscription licenses of Mathcad Prime (and 15) in it. When a user runs Mathcad, the server first assigns a license from the permanent pool. If that pool fills up then it assigns a license from the subscription pool. The problem is when a user receives a license from the permanent pool, the license type shown within their Mathcad software says Home Use when it should say something like Commercial. This results in certain calculations being inaccessible and causing errors in their worksheet. But if a user receives a license from the subscription pool, the license type is shown as Subscription which should be fine.I would like to know why our Mathcad license server is serving us Home Use licenses instead of the commercial licenses we paid for, and how do we fix this?

According to the developer guide tkusetoc, this function supports passing a drawing view argument to display annotations only in the target view starting from Creo Parametric 2.0 M060. The official documentation states:From Creo Parametric 2.0 M060 onward, you can specify the view in which the annotations for the selected feature and component must be displayed. For the functions ProAnnotationByFeatureShow() and ProAnnotationByComponentShow(), specify the view where the annotations must be displayed. If you pass the input argument view as NULL, the annotations are displayed in all the views.However, during practical development, the function returns error code -9 (PRO_TK_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) whenever a valid non-NULL ProView handle is passed to the view parameter. When passing NULL to the view argument, all annotations are displayed across every drawing view as documented, which works as expected. the image is related. whenever i try to open the file it shows this blank screen. I’m new to creo student edition and don’t know much. I was previously an onshape user. i had made backups and made sure to save it a couple of times before closing. The random save i did while sketching is visible for some reason but none of my extrusions are visible.i scanned all my pc’s recent files to see if i had accidently saved it somewhere else too but its to no luck. The sketch from the above mentioned case is not fully visible too.
Have just paid for a licence to upgrade from MathCad Prime Express 12.0.0.0 to the full Prime version, hopefully 12.0.0.1. Following "Options|Get Licence" I have encountered a prompt asking for my product code. Where can I find this? Do I need to log in to the Fullfillment portal? Does it use the same general ptc account? It didn't recognise mine. When looking for help I am told I don't have access permission and haven't paid for that level of support. Elsewhere it says I have "Gold" level support. I an angry that you have now pointed me to a public forum where I can't post useful identification data. What a horrible mess. Can anyone help me get into contact with someone at PTC?
Hello,I am new to developing custom functions for Mathcad Prime.I already managed to create a working custom function in C, but I still cannot understand how to do the same in C++.To be honest, I do not understand the internal structure of Visual Studio C++ projects yet. I am learning step by step and using AI to help me understand the code and project structure.My goal is to move large engineering calculations from Mathcad into C++ DLL libraries. I hope to use AI to help convert my Mathcad algorithms into C++, but first I need to understand how a working C++ custom function project is organized.At the moment I cannot even create a very simple function like:int add(int a, int b){ return a + b;}I am not asking anyone to write my project for me.I would simply like to have a minimal Visual Studio C++ project that builds into a DLL and is recognized by Mathcad Prime. Hi, as you can seeat the bottom of the picture, when evaluting the function “Iresonance”, instead of replacing the variable with the actual, it gives “function” in the result, but the function “wresonace” is already defined. How to subtitute it? Thanks
