PTC Community Refresh

Hi, we have an intern helping with label clean up.   "when I relabeling the “Detailing (MBD/MBE)” section, I found the “Drawing” label has 1,356 conversations (please see attached screenshot) but it’s not on the pre-defined label list. Should it be considered as a valid label in this case?"   In "Creospeak"  are "drawings" distinctly different from "detailed drawings" should I make drawings a predefined label in addition to detailed drawings?  

Hi, Everyone,   I am calling an "All Hands Call" for the PTC Refresh Board team members!   Please reply to this post with dates and times the first two weeks of November that you could put aside (maybe 2-4 hours) to have a working session on webex to really discuss our hopes and dreams for the PTC Communitym and just basic operational process improvements. I will start another thread for topic areas to be covered.  We will have a clear agenda so if you only can come for specific topics that is okay!     I am also open to using a Saturday and evening time frames if this works for the folks here.

Are we still moving posts from the Creo prior to may 2018 to the appropriate "other" boards?Just curious, every so often I go move a few posts.

@WernerE  and others (Monitor Sizes please)   From Lithium:  Hello Jamie, Just checking in to see if you had a moment to review Dereck last comment to the case which stated:I've been testing this behavior on Stage and Production, but haven't been able to replicate the behavior with the Insert Image pop-up screen as of yet. So I'd like to confirm with you that I'm doing the correct steps here to replicate the behavior. 1. Be logged in as a user. 2. Navigate to a post, click reply on a post/response there. 3. Add some text, click on the "Add image" button in the toolbar. 4. Have the "Add Image" pop-up appear on-screen. Also, are you only seeing this on certain types of monitors or does it seem to occur for any monitor? I ask this to narrow down the possible causes for my not replicating the behavior if my steps are correct. Lastly, does the behavior occur on every board that you would do the steps on or only on certain ones? Best Regards,

Hi, Everyone,   Thank you for always giving such great feedback and possible solutions!   I wanted to show you what I have to enter into the Lithium Case Portal to report an issue or question.   I always need description, url where issue is happening, steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior, and browsers/operating systems experiencing the issue.  I can usually go through the posts to figure this out, but when you email me a screenshot or post a screenshot as an issue, please also list the browsers you are testing. This is helpful and expedites the process of resolving the issue.  Thank You!  Jaime Lee    

Hi, Champions + Refresh Board Friends,   I am getting ready to close the curtains on the Additional Creo and Creo Modeling Boards.   https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Previous-to-May-2018/ct-p/Creo    It is causing too much admin overhead to have to alter the labels after these posts get moved.   We can make "move out all the Accepted Solution posts" to their new correct board and then move the remaining to a "Public Archive" and put at the bottom of the structure and blocking replies.  The original content is over 2 years old in most cases.   It would be great if over the next few days my smart Creo People could specifically look at the Accepted Solutions and Flag Moderator on what board you think it belongs in.    Thank You!   Jaime_Lee

Hi, Friends,    I stumbled upon a new Lithium community feature that I can enable on our community.  We can reply by email which I believe is what some of our veteran community users were able to do on  "Exploder."   I demoed on the Lithium Community site so I could grab these screen shots for you all:   Step 1:  User Posts on the community     Step 2:  User is “Subscribed” and the Reply Post comes into the User's email     Step 3:   User Can Click “Reply” at Bottom    Step 4:  User inserts desired text that will show up directly on the community     Step 5:  User goes to the community to see the response       That is how the process will work in a nut shell.  Any questions?  Any reason I should wait on adding this feature?

Hi, Everyone I wanted to give the members of the PTC Refresh Board a sneak peek at the new toolbar coming early next week.    Here are the new feature highlights:   1.  Paragraph Option   Now you have more options for formatting your posts with the Paragraph option.         2. Hi, Everyone,   I am sure you all have been watching keenly on Community Announcements to see what is coming next to the PTC Community for updates.  The next couple weeks I am working on training more product managers on how to use the idea exchange to "Change Statuses."   But, while we are launching out our new community idea program, we thought we would enable a new feature.  This feature will require "searching" before posting an idea.  This should help us reduce the number of duplicates.   Here are the steps that demonstrate how this feature will work.   Step 1:  User will "Suggest an idea" Step 2:  User will type in desired title for their idea and select "Check Title." Step 3:  User can choose to go to any idea posts with a similar title to add a comment or vote.   OR, the user can select the <Continue and Post> to post their idea.

... activity going on making the forum any better?There seems to be so much to do and no visible activity is noticeable Or do we experience resignation ("lets settle with what we have even if its much worse than what we had") ? It's almost a year since the unfortunate transition to lithium took place - let's light a candle as a sign of our grief.

We had this in the other Community I managed what do you think?   I also like the shading on to further designate the thumbtack or float topic posts.     Thoughts?

We are having Lithium continue covering basic UI changes for us.   FYI:  We updated the landing page to have a spot to feature community videos.  This will eventually be a spot for user generated material.

@Werner_E  @RichardJ  @MartinHanak  and  @VladimirN   Check out this latest note from Lithium regarding accepting the Mathcad File Types:    Case Details - Lithium Community   Case Details - Lithium Community Hello Jaime,I've just checked and it looks like Stage is scheduled to be upgraded on May 3rd, with Production scheduled for the 10th. So that would fall within the 30 days that you mentioned, and we can test on Stage once it is upgraded to confirm if this is resolved with the fix in that version. If you have any questions please let me know and I'll be happy to get them answered.       So, Mathcad Users, can you send me some mathcad files to jbunton@ptc.com you would like to see tested on stage so we know this BUG is really fixed?   TY!    

Now that thousands op posts have been moved (and stil a few thousand to go...) Can all those posts be sorted by "Latest post"? Right now the sorting is...random at most...
