USB Type A (female) connector CAD model (overmolding)

Hello,


Does anyone have a female USB connector CAD model that is suitable for overmolding? See here (http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/preview.aspx?modelcode=43467) fox example, except I am looking for one that is straight and not right-angled. I did find some USB connectors from Cypress Industries (http://www.cypressindustries.com/products/usb.html), but no CAD models are available for downloading.


If you have a 3D CAD model, I am using Pro-E WF 3.0 for this project.

    Check Samtec. I've downloaded USB models from there.

    Hello,


    Thanks for all the replies. I finally found what I need for my application, and it is an USB cable "A" female to wires (http://www.usbfirewire.com/Parts/rr-af-bwst-xxg.html) available at USB FireWire. I need to design a custom mount for this USB female connector, and it seems the male connectors are more readily available.


    As far as sites that offer USB connector downloads, they are as follows:


    Also, there are male cable connector kits (front shell, insert body, rear shell --> assembled plug) available from both Cypress Industries and Keystone Electronics, but no female cable connector kits that I can find.
