Vuforia Expert Capture

You can share a procedure in Vuforia Editor so that, for example, two authors can modify a procedure. If these two authors start working on a procedure at the same time, they are not informed that another author is also working on the procedure. At the moment I notice that changes made by the other author are overwritten. Is simultaneous collaboration on procedures even intended and supported as a functionality?   Thank you for your help.

Our customer wants to check whether the correct components or the correct type plate is attached to a product. The components or the type plate have a number encoded in a QR code or barcode. The code should therefore be scanned in one step of the procedure and the scan result checked against an expected value. Only then can the step be successfully completed.

Hi everyone,i hope this is the right place for this topic. As a consultant for different companys, i have very big problems to promote PTC Products (Vuforia Studio, ThingWorx, Expert Capture) to our customers. The reason is very simple. They are open to try out the solutions and also see potential with an integration. The downside is, that you at minimum have to put at least 60K (Very good offer) to 100K? (I never really had an overview over the different official pricings) per solution. And there is no entry point like: "No you can't try it and no you also can't start small". It's 100K and we don't care.Without this attitude I could get thousands of new customers but with that massive entry barrier no one wants the ptc solutions... How do you guys tackle that insane pricing?Best Regards and thanks in advanceDax

Tiny issue: The location for model states is always "Editor" although the actual CAD model is saved in a different folder.    

What is the min and max dimension size being imported into Expert Capture to prevent it from being cut off in the step of the procedure or title slide? @tmccombie 

Is it possible to access images themselves in Thingworx not just the URL that is returned with all sessions API call? As Thingworx does not really have a GET call for Images/BLOB.

When a step in a procedure includes both text and an image or video, Vantage always automatically opens the first image or video. If the text is longer, it gets truncated, and only a small green arrow appears on the right side to indicate more content. This arrow is easy to miss! It would be highly practical to have a setting that allows users to choose whether the step should start with the text in full-screen mode  or immediately display the first image/video. This issue primarily affects mobile devices, where screen space is limited. In the web view, the display is different since there's more space available on a monitor.

Vuforia Vantage Open Beta for Vuforia Capture Now Available in Vantage for iOS The open beta for Vuforia Capture on iOS is now available from within Vuforia Vantage. Our customer would like to have mandatory textual feedback as a feature in Vuforia Expert Capture. For each step, it should be possible that the user cannot continue the procedure in Vuforia Vantage as long as no feedback has been entered.

I find we have a lot of 'deleted' or 'incomplete' procedures that have amassed in my system from demoing the product and procedures. I would love a way to delete these.  We are also using VEC for quality inspections and only need to keep those records for a certain amount of time and then can delete those records as well.  

I have noticed that invitations by e-mail are not sent if the e-mail address contains a low dash. For example, no e-mail is sent to john_doe@domain.com. However, no error message is shown in the PTC Admin Center.

It should be possible to edit the number of a step directly. This would allow you to quickly move the eleventh step of a procedure to position 3, for example. In any case, this would be much faster than using drag and drop to move the step up in the sequence step by step.

Hello,I would like to suggest the translate of Vuforia Vantage to Portuguese, with the anoucement of new prices for Expert Capture we have many opportunities in Brazil to use Vantage in Realwear devices, but with this weareable we cannot use Vantage in Portuguese, the voice recognition doesnt understand the english commands when the device is in English. We are at your disposal to help with this translate, to bring new opportunities of Expert Capture to Brazil.Thank you.

I have the client org ID, x-api-key and x-api-key secret. Currently it is not possible to hide a part temporarily in Vuforia Editor. This functionality is need to be able to select parts hidden behind a different part. Selecting a hidden part is currently only possible in the structure browser. But when users deal with large assemblies this is tedious. I know hiding parts is possible in the product state editor. This is not what I am writing about here. The users just wants to create part markers for parts that are hidden behind a larger part.

there is requirement from customer to see all the data of vuforia insight into thingworx Mashups.is there any possibility to take this data out of platform and integrate with Thingworx platform?do we need any custom extension to get it done?

Hello Community, I am using expert capture API and it return me data with pages like for eg for page 1 and then page 2 and so on. I can see that pagination has been done in API but is it possible that if i want all the entries at once and not with pages only? I want to get all the entries with API call.  As you can also see in this picture below. I call the API in browser and only getting these entries and in the end there is next link.  

I think this should be improved: When a larger file upload is in progress, the progress bar hides elements in the control bar of the 3d model area.

I have two Model Targets in Unity. When I press play to test, only one model target starts without problems, but for the other one, I encounter an error. I am using Unity 2022.3.30 and Vuforia 10.22.

Currently it is not obvious in Viewer Insights if there is step feedback (text, photo) available. The user has to expand every single report to find out. It would be nice to give the user a hint if feedback is available.  

When a 3d model is added to a procedure Vuforia Editor asks for the desired orientation of the model. Is it possible to modify the orientation once it has been set?
