Question

Exclude Group from Search result in JNDI Adapter

Hi All,

In our AD we have multiple groups named cn=Administrators, which is not
acceptable to Windchill 9.1 and causing issues on a few important
functionalities. I got in touch with PTC TS but they said it is not
possible. So i would like to confirm if any one set any property in the JNDI
adapter that can filter our groups from the search.

Regards,
Rohan

We started down a similar road but have not completed it yet. However,
I think you need to do the filtering on the Apache side of the adapter
configuration. We were going to do kind of the reverse and only let
Windchill see groups that start with a specific prefix in the name
(Windchill groups).

Thanks Daniel,

We actually found a solution to this issue. There were 2 'Additional
Properties' on our JNDI Adpater which actually had to be removed which
resolved this issue.

I don't recall the exact property names right now but if can enlist the
additional properties which have been added on your JNDI adapter which have
'group' in them I could suggest.

Thanks,

Ah, OK. Good to hear. Interesting. We had already used filtering on
the Apache side with success. I think I know what you're referring to
in JNDI though.

Thanks!
