GHOSTS! - ooooh scary! Pain in the @ss

We have been experiencing issues with ghosts objects for quite some time now and PTC does not appear to have any idea how to resolve them. Point is the "Autoresolve" check box on the second checkin screen simply does not work. Also, we have come up with quite a few work arounds here @ Atlas for handling them (temporarily). We use "Reference Viewer" to break dependencies if possible. Have a 12 step process (custom) which fools Windchill into allowing the checkin even if ghost is present (does not permanately remove association. Also, sometimes (<5%) the autoresolve works if "ignore in the future" is checked. Very rare.

I am asking for other feedback in the community related to these spectors of frustration. Does anyone else have any other methods or techniques with dealing with them? Please share.
