Question

The required role was not assigned a participant

Now I have a requirement that I want to setup participants in my routing workflow instead of routing wizard "Define Distribution List". So I have hide that step in the wizard , but when I click finish. an alert appears "The required role was not assigned a participant:Approver" . Can anyone help me ?

In Windchill8.0 System, Default When you are start a route in a project,It will have 4 steps.One is "Define Distribution List",this step force you to define participant.When you don't define this step,the ok button is gray.Though you hidden this step,the logic is unchanged.

    The user want when he choose the object and click the routing button, then the routing workflow run automately without any wizard page appear.

    And the participant will be setup in the first activity.

      Do you have a role 'Promotion Approver' set up in team context of a folder?

      That would automatically select the members under that role.
