Windchill Versioning Schemes

On a test server I have created a custom versioning scheme and it
appears to work ok but I was wondering if the default "Numeric"
versioning scheme be modified or do I have to use a custom one? I only
have to have Production releases start with 0 not 1.

Revisions are also done a little backwards here so do the series need to
be reversed in the xml file? That is if the default can even be
modified.

Files that fall under Prototype release level have a revision of A, B,
C...ect.

Files that fall under Production release level have a revision of 0, 1,
2,...ect

Current System Specs.

Windchill 10.1 F000

Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 M130

Thanks in advance,

Create a new one. Its always a good thing to never modify the OOTB stuff when you can create your own.

OTB, there is a series that is 1, 2, 3... We created one that is 0, 1, 2... See properties below (from an acquisition in Orlando, Fl). These are used here without State-based versioning for doc's in special-purpose Libraries.

In the Lifecycle UI, you can select either Mil Std or Numeric for each state - they work ok in reverse order as long as you have the seeds reversed in the state-based versioning file, and register it.
