after conversion to sheetmetal thickness does not update

after I converted a solid to sheetmetal (driving surface) and I edit a thickness of the original solid in the modeltree, it does not update the wall thickness of the converted part. Why does this not happen and more important is there a setting available to automatically update sheetmetal wall-thickness without having to manually add some relation?

There is a thickness in the feature of the conversion and you have to change it there. I do not know why it works this way, but that it what I have found.

Thickness of smeetmetal part, after conversion is controlled by parameter SMT_THICKNESS. Changing the thickness of extrude feature will update the part but will not change the value of parameter. Possibly you are already using relation and that will be an alternate option
