Question

Can I make Projection Views keep their distance to the parent view?

Hi, I was wondering if there is any configuration or drawing property that would allow me to move parent views while the projected views keep their distance (to the parent).

When I have a parent view with a bunch of projected views (at the right distance from their parent), and need to move them around the sheet, I need to move the parent view then move each projected view to its new location and try to get the same distance they had before.

It would be great if the projected views would keep their distance to the parent view while moving the parent, then if you need to adjust that distance, you move the projected view. That way, I would only need to move the parent view to its new location, and the projections would follow. Hope my topic is clear.

We are using Creo 4.0 M090 for reference.

Not that I know of.  It's not a big deal to do it manually.  😉

That is correct.  It is not possible to relate a view to another view.

You can ALIGN them horizontally or vertically, but that doesn't lock the DISTANCE between them.
