can't create pin connection

I have a very simple assembly, I’m trying to make a pin connection.

Everything seems to be ok but when i click OK. i get :

17:49 Component cannot be placed.  Confirm restart.
17:49 Select any reference for auto type constraining.

what am i doing wrong?
