Question

can you specify STL default output location?

It is a repetitive task for me to export Creo model files as an STL to the same general folder.  Would it be possible to reduce the time of doing this task by being able to specify a fixed end location for the STL exports?

Not that I can find.  I would suggest adding a file location to the Common Folders (RMB>Add to common folders) or to Favorites (RMB>Add to Favorites)

Although the interface didn't appear like yours I was able to add the needed folder to Common Folders.  This saves the step of browsing to the needed folder so even though it doesn't automatically take me to the needed folder it does get me to my needed destination quicker and I will certainly use this and possibly populate another Common Folder or 2.

Yes, Creo is a constant learning experience.

If you need it set to a specific folder for reuse then you have the option of creating a mapkey that will write to the same folder each time. You can also semi automate the stl export settings if those are repeated as well.

Depending on the volume and the occurrence of the export, the ultimate solution is to create a tooling script that would run Creo and export to a specified folder.

This means investing time to create and test the tooling.
