Combination state definition within a UDF used on a drawing

Has anyone defined a combination state within a UDF (subordinate) and used said state in a drawing? My initial attempts to do this have not been successful. I have defined the comb state in the UDF reference model part. When the UDF is placed in a target model (as subordinate UDF) the comb state is not available for display in a drawing of the target part.

I am able to show all annotations, but I have to manually show and locate the dimensions.

I want to be able to display this combination state in a detailed view on a drawing without manual manipulation of any annotation elements.
