Copy-Paste in Creo 2 Detail

Have I lost it? It seems like I used to be able to copy and paste notes and symbols from one drawing to another, but in Creo 2 it's not working. I pick the item, pick copy, then nothing is available for paste on the destination drawing.

it's strange, but according to https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS56757 both drawings must have the same setting of drawing_units drawing option.

OK - I'll check that. - Yup. mm vs inches. Changed the units and away it goes.

I like that the developers have a flowchart that has a decision point, one that interferes with work, and no corresponding error message to the user when the PTC programmers decided to eliminate the 'paste' option from the menu.

They could even have made the menu static and just put up a message 'Can't paste - incompatible drawing units.'

Anyone else tired of the number of secret handshake related software failures?
